Ratrikala Bhre Aditya was born in 1986 and began his career in the audiovisual field in 2002 when, under the guidance of In-Docs, he created a small documentary that was screened at Jiffest 2003 and received an exclusive screening on World Water Day at the United Nations Office in New York. In 2004, Bhre directed his first feature-length documentary titled "Burned Flower," which tells the humanist side of the murdered human rights activist, Munir Said Thalib. The film received a positive response, leading to screenings at Jiffest 2005, in many cities domestically and internationally, and at the Singapore International Film Festival 2005.
Since then, Bhre has continued his career by creating several documentary titles, television documentary programs, participating in many commercial productions, writing scripts for several company profiles and exhibitions, and working for Miles Films to produce behind-the-scenes documentaries for their two box office films, "Laskar Pelangi" and "Sang Pemimpi." In the world of feature films, he continued as an assistant director to Mathias Muchus for the film "Rindu Purnama," and several films produced by Miles Films, such as "Atambua 39 Degrees Celsius," "Messages from the Ocean," "Sokola Rimba," "The Golden Cane Warrior" in 2014, and "What's Up with Love 2." Due to his experience in documentaries, Bhre was trusted to become Riri Riza's co-director for the music documentary "God Bless – Years of Rock Indonesia." In short documentaries, he directed "Lentera Hati Priska," which won in the Film Box Competition. His first short film, titled "C'est La Vie," had the opportunity to be screened at various showings, including the Jogjakarta Asian Netpac Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. In between his directing, he has created many trailers and film openings. "Atambua 39C Degrees Celsius," "Athirah," "What's Up with Love 2," "Vengeance is Mine, All Others Pay Cash," and "Petualangan Sherina 2" are a few of the many titles for which he made the trailers.
He continues to learn and create to this day.
